¹  Capable of converting DRG and Physician Practice pattern data into information which quantifies impact on cost and quality.
¹  Ability to implement new programs and problem-solving mechanisms.
¹  Good communication/analytical/writing skills.
¹  Excellent knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and Third Party admission and concurrent review criteria.
¹  Knowledge of “benchmarking” and “best practice” methodologies.
¹  Ability to implement and initiate workload changes and set priorities accordingly.

Your duties include:

- Supervises RNs, LPNs, PCTs, unit secretary, monitor technicians, volunteers, students, social workers and other technical staff in relation to providing excellent patient care.

Overview: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a masters prepared, advanced practice nurse whose care focuses on post-op cardiovascular patient population.  A CNS divides time into five general areas – practice, teaching, research, consulting, and management.  Their assessment skills tend to be more focused on a particular area of specialty.   They have a multifaceted role, incorporating the primary components of clinical practice, consultation, education, research and leadership into the care of New Hanover Health Network’s patients. Utilizing expert knowledge and advanced assessment, the CNS is accountable for facilitating quality patient outcomes and appropriate resource consumption.  The Clinical Nurse Specialist acts independently, is self-directed and acts as an effective leader, catalyst for change, and role model for quality nursing. They are also prepared to assume the role of case manager – one who organizes and coordinates services and resources, and who works to control costs.  The CNS acts as a central player in-patient managed care, and they serve to manage the complexities and interdependencies of different patient health care practices.

Education Master's Degree

Job Requirements · Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing: certification in clinical specialty preferred.


· Licensure / Certifications: Current license to practice professional nursing in State of North Carolina. AHA BLS and ACLS Certification: Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record.

Lovely city in Southern, Oregon located a little over an hour south of Eugene.  The city is surrounded by beautiful evergreen hills and offers plenty of outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and more. The mountains and the coast are both an hour away.

Multi-specialty group consisting of 20+ physicians is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonologist.  Physician will be responsible for all aspects of Pulmonary / Critical Care medicine. •

PRACTICE SPECIFICS:

- Group and solo practice position available Call coverage: 1:4

- Admitting privileges and consultations

- Group utilizes their own innovative EMR system

- Accept applicants with J-1 and H1B Visas

- Serving population of 14,000; county population is 105,000

LOCAL HOSPITAL:

170 bed hospital that is the only acute care hospital within the service area. ICU/PCU, medical and surgical, labor and delivery, pediatrics, and a 12-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility. The surgical Services department has 4 operating suites and 3 endoscopy rooms in the hospital. The ambulatory surgery department is state of the art with 3 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites.

Qualifications:

BC/BE in Pulmonary and/or Critical Care Medicine

Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Oregon
